In addition to the typical penalty of up to 5 years in prison, this offense carries an additional 30 days of community service.

Misrepresentation of Motor Vehicle Mileage

Another fraud offense, this one applies when the mileage of a motor vehicle is altered so that it shows a lesser mileage than what the vehicle has actually experienced. If you are accused of this offense, whether in an attempt to sell or trade a vehicle, you could face charges of a disorderly persons offense in addition to losing your driving privileges.
